Mangaluru, Dec 20: Annual Day of Bearys Public School and His Grace Montessori situated at Hathill was held at the Town Hall here on Thursday.
Speaking at the programme, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner T R Suresh said that the Dakshina Kannada district has been growing as educational hub. It is commendable that the Bearys Educational institutions have been giving priority to cocurricular activities along with the academics. School is the second house for children. During learning process, the role of teachers and parents in identifying the talent and leadership qualities in children is very important, he opined.
ADC Kumar said that annual days of schools and colleges would remain in the memory of every student. The annual day would give a platform to the students to exhibit their talents. Students should have clear goal about their life, he added.
Presiding over the programme, Bearys Academy of Learning President and Managing Trustee Syed Muhammad Beary said that the education has become a business nowadays. Education institutions were being established keeping in mind the children of rich families. But Bearys Education was totally different from this. The group has not considered the education as a business. Without getting any donation, Bearys has been imparting education to the students of rural areas and economically backward families. Unfortunately, nowadays, education is being looked in the eyes of religion. It is not a good practice to bifurcate education like this. The education should include all. The Bearys Educational institutions have a clear goal of ensuring education to every individual based on truth, trust and happiness, he said stressing the role of parents along with the teachers in the development of children.
