Belthangady: Externment order issued again against Mahesh Shetty Timarodi
Belthangady: An externment order has once again been issued against Mahesh Shetty Timarodi of Ujire, who has been leading the agitation in connection with the Soujanya case. The order has been passed for the second time by the Puttur Assistant Commissioner.
Puttur Assistant Commissioner Stella Varghese issued the order on December 17.
Mahesh Shetty had earlier been externed based on an order issued by the Puttur Assistant Commissioner. That order was challenged, following which the High Court directed a review of the decision. In compliance with the High Court’s directions, the matter was reconsidered and a fresh order has now been issued externing Mahesh Shetty for a period of one year to Manvi taluk in Raichur district.
After the copy of the externment order was received at the Belthangady Police Station, police personnel visited the residence of Mahesh Shetty Timarodi at Ujire on December 18 to serve a notice. However, he was reportedly not present at his house at the time.

CBSE announces results for Class 10 board exams
New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.
"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.
The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
