Only Manjunath Naik, was appeared before Assistant Commissioner while all the other members who wrote to AC for the confidence test remained absent. Thereby Manjunath Naik will now continue on his position as president of Panchayath.

A total of 10 members had filed for vote of confidence to AC.

Earlier too, members had similarly filed for no confidence motion twice but then, Manjunath Naik had approached High Court and had bailed himself out of the situation twice.

It is being said that former MLA Mankal Vaidya and Honnavar APMC President Gopal Naik, who supports Manjunath Naik, intervened and negotiated with other members of Panchayath which convinced them to give the no confidence motion a skip.
