Bijai: Tree falls, electricity pole posing threat to public
Mangaluru: A tree uprooted and landed on an electricity pole at the KSRTC bus stand premises in Bijai on Tuesday morning.
The leaning electricity pole is posing a threat to people. The electric cables have also been damaged as the branches of the tree fell on them following which electricity supply is disrupted in the area.

Three young women drown to death in resort swimming pool in Ullal
Ullal: Three young women tragically drowned to death in a swimming pool at a private resort in Someshwar, Ullal, on Saturday morning. The deceased have been identified as Keerthana N. (21), Nishita M.D. (21), and Parvati S. (20), all residents of Mysuru, according to the police.
The incident took place at a private resort located in Someshwar village. The three women had arrived at the resort on Saturday, and it was while playing in the swimming pool near the resort’s entrance that the accident occurred.
Ullal police have reached the spot, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
