Mangaluru: Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangaluru, felicitated Muhammad Humaid, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in Karate at the state, national, and university levels.

The felicitation ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. S. I. Manjur Basha, Campus Director, Bearys Group of Institutions, Innoli, Mangaluru; Dr. Kamalakannan C, Principal, BIT; and Ansar, Physical Director. They congratulated the student for bringing laurels to the institution through his consistent sporting excellence.

Muhammad Humaid secured first place in the VTU State-Level Karate Tournament held at RV Institute of Technology and Management on November 1, 2025. He has also been selected to represent VTU Belagavi at the All India Inter-University South West Zone Karate Championships.

Adding to his accolades, he won first place in both Kata and Kumite at the 2nd National-Level Karate Championships conducted at the Bhatkal Shotokan Karate Institute on December 21, 2025.

During the academic year 2024–25, Humaid had earlier secured first place in the VTU State-Level Karate Championships and represented VTU Belagavi at the All India Inter-University South West Zone Karate Championships held in Bhopal, where he secured eighth place.

He further showcased a commendable performance at the All India Inter-University Karate Championships conducted at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana.

The management and faculty of BIT applauded his dedication, discipline, and sporting spirit, and wished him continued success in future national and international competitions.

New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.

"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.

The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
