Community is not in any one’s pocket: Khader retaliates Tanveer Sait
Udupi, June 14: Strongly reacting to the statement of Congress leader and former minister Tanveer Sait, Housing and Urban Development Minister UT Khader said that “the community is not in the pocket of any one person. People would decide on this issue. I have not missed the chance of anyone getting the minister post. It would not happen too. Everything was happened as per the decision of the party high command”.
Congress leader Tanveer Sait had said that Khader does not have the ability to represent the community. When reporters asked Khader’s reaction about the statement here on Thursday, he said that “I have not listened to his statement. But I came to know about this through media. I have not claimed myself as a leader in the political career. Being the MLA and Minister, I have worked for the people of the state. I had completed my responsibility as the minister of Food and Civil Services and Health in the previous government without any black mark”, he said.
Party high command has the details of every leader. He would work honestly to meet the expectations of people and the party. “We are like brothers. I would pray in this sacred month that the dream and desire of Tanveer Sait would come true”, he said.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
