Contemplating to ban processions between DC office-Ambedkar Circle: Mangaluru Police Commissioner
Mangaluru: The increase in the number of vehicles and lack of space for road widening are affecting smooth traffic movement in the City. Therefore we are contemplating to ban all types of processions between Deputy Commissioner's office to Ambedkar Circle," said Police Commissioner TR Suresh.
He expressed this opinion while participating in the interaction programme with the media persons at press club here.
"Every year 1 lakh vehicle are being added to the city's traffic. It is not been possible to provide basic facilities on the roads in accordance with this increase. In a system like this, processions which are being taken out on the main road in the City are causing more inconveniences to the public," he said.

Trump says suspect was armed with multiple weapons at WH correspondents' dinner
Washington (PTI): President Donald Trump is addressing reporters at the White House after he and other top leaders of the United States were evacuated from an annual dinner of White House correspondents on Saturday night after a shooting incident outside the ballroom.
Trump said the suspect was armed with multiple weapons before stopped by Secret Service. One officer was shot, but he was protected by a bulletproof vest.
“He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job,” Trump said.
