Sulya: Concerning the case of using derogatory words against the Prophet, the Bellare police have arrested the accused Jagadish Kaivattadka, resident of Kaivattadka at Ivarnadu village.
A complaint has been registered with the Bellare police demanding the arrest of the accused Jagadish for using derogatory words against the Prophet in a Facebook post uploaded by him. Later, under the leadership of Iqbal Elimale, the Convener of Sullia Muslim Okkuta, a complaint had been submitted to the D.K District Police Superintendent.
The Superintendent of Police who reviewed the complaint seriously had directed for the arrest of the accused and subsequently, the Bellare police arrested the accused.

Mumbai: An assistant commissioner of police was arrested by Worli Police in Central Mumbai under charge of flashing his private parts before a nine-year-old girl.
The arrested officer is reportedly under judicial custody, at present, according to a report by The Times of India.
The incident occurred in a garden on April 23, a police officer has said, adding that they arrested the ACP soon after the complaint was filed. So far, only one party has filed a complaint against the senior officer, the source has informed.
The senior officer has been charged with molestation and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the police officer said.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
