Belthangady: The accused in the Dharmasthala case of burial of bodies in multiple places, Chinnayya, was granted bail by the Dakshina Kannada District Court on November 24 with 12 conditions, but 23 days later, he is yet to be let out of Shivamogga Jail due to lack of bond and absence of two sureties.

Chinnayya’s wife Mallika on Wednesday submitted a bond of Rs 1 lakh to the Belthangady Principal Senior Commercial Court, with two people appearing as sureties for Chinnayya to complete the legal procedure before traveling to Shivamogga.

The accused is expected to be released on Wednesday evening as the Belthangady court’s order to release Chinnayya reaches the Shivamogga Jail through email.

New Delhi (PTI): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced results for Class 10 board exams, officials said.

"The results have been declared," a senior board official said.

The CBSE started with two editions of board exams for Class 10 from this year. It was mandatory for students to appear in the first edition, the results of which have been declared.
