Belthangady: The complainant and witness in the Dharmasthala mass burial case, who is currently in the custody of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), was taken by the team to the residence of Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, activist in the Sowjanya movement for an inquest.
The complainant reportedly told the investigation team that he had taken shelter in the house belonging to Timarodi and his brother Mohan Shetty in Ujire, following which, he was taken to the house on Tuesday morning by the SIT, led by Officer Jitendra Kumar Dayama.
The officers are learned to have obtained a search warrant from the Belthangady court on Monday for the probe.
The SIT is also expected to confiscate things related to the mass burial case, as Timarodi had been sheltering the complainant in his house in Ujire for the last two months.
