Kundapura, Jan 11: Senior journalist Dinesh Amin Mattu demanded the concerned authorities to disclose the real cause of senior IPS office Madhukar Shetty’s death which triggered suspicion.
Speaking at a prayer as a mark of respect to Dr K. Madhukar Shetty here on Friday, Mattu said that having more knowledge about medical science, Shetty has concerns towards his health also. There were rumours that he died due to cardiac arrest and H1N1 virus. But the real cause of his death was unknown.
Madhukar Shetty was an ideal personality than his father. It was his independent personality groomed under his father Vaddarse Raghuram Shetty. He was far away from appeasement tactics to influence his senior officers and even he was not dictating his subordinates. It was unfortunate that those who were instrumental in his transfer, were speaking about him, he said.
Retired DGP Ajay Kumar Singh said that Madhukar Shetty who was known for his honest and courage was a shining star in the police system in the country.

Constable cries
Bengaluru constable Dasharath who spoke on the occasion, literally cried recalling his experience with Madhukar Shetty. He said that Madhukar Shetty had emulated the ideologies of Gandhi, Buddha, Subhash Chandra Bose. He was not discriminating with anybody. He used to have food sitting with the constables. He has seen the love and affection of a mother in Madhukar Shetty, he said.

Belagavi (Karnataka), Nov 28: A CCTV footage of a nurse being attacked by a man inside a private hospital in Karnataka went viral on social media platforms on Thursday.
The incident, reported to have occurred on October 30, was captured on CCTV camera of the hospital in which the man who has been identified as Prakash Jadhav was seen attacking the nurse with a machete he was hiding in his bag.
The video clip shows the person entering the hospital and at the reception counter, he caught hold of the nurse and attacked her with the machete for allegedly refusing his romantic advances.
She was treated in the hospital for her injuries, police said, adding that the suspect was arrested in the case.

According to police, Jadhav was her neigbhour. He had been harassing the nurse for a while, persistently pressuring her to marry him but she rejected her proposal every time.
Upset over repeated rejection, he later approached her father with the proposal but he also rejected his marriage proposal and warned him to stay away from his daughter.
Her father became traumatised and stressed by the incident. Subsequently, he died.
"A case was registered against Prakash Jadhav and he was arrested in connection with the incident," a senior police officer said.
