Five injured as speeding Swift car rams into Alto
Manjeshwar: Five people were seriously injured when a Maruti Swift car collided with a parked Alto car on National Highway 66 near Arikkada on Friday.
The commuters of the Alto car had been to a nearby hotel for breakfast after parking their car under a tree when the mishap took place.
The Swift car was proceeding from Mangaluru when the accident took place. All five injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Rubio says NATO “does not exist without the United States”
Washington: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has criticised NATO, saying the military alliance “does not exist without the United States”.
Speaking to Al Jazeera, Rubio said, “And everyone knows this fact.”
His remarks come amid growing tensions over the ongoing US-Israeli military actions against Iran.
US President Donald Trump has also sharply criticised NATO for not supporting the campaign. In a post on Truth Social, he said NATO countries are “COWARDS and we will REMEMBER!”
