Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil on Monday has banished four rowdy elements from Dakshina Kannada district ahead of Lok Sabha Election.
Arjun, Kaushik and Ashraf in the rouges’ list of Kankanady Police Station and Ranjit, on the list of Urwa Police Station have been identified as the four who have been banished.
Arjun has been sent to Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station limits, Kaushik has been sent to Udupi and Karkala Police Station Limits, Ashraf has been sent to Kolar District while Ranjeet has been sent to Bengaluru’s Hebbal area. They have been asked to report regularly to the respective police stations.
The order was passed by the Commissioner of Police based on recommendation by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
Meanwhile, the department is also in process of deporting seven more rowdy elements listed by several police stations of the city. The process has been initiated based on reports submitted by the ACPs to the DCP. The DCP will now seek approval from the Commissioner followed by which they will be banished.

Belthangady: Khazi Shaikhuna Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar of Dakshina Kannada District handed over the keys of a renovated house to the family of the late Ramalan Azhari during a program organized by the Dakshina Kannada District Janiyyatul Muallimin on Thursday at Kajur Perdadi Ajmer Khaja Juma Masjid.
The event was presided over by District Janiyyatul Muallimeen President Shansuddin Darimi Pammale Madannur, with Secretary Muhammad Navi Mundole welcoming the attendees. Engineer Muhammad Twahir Bangerakatte was honored on the occasion for his commendable efforts in renovating the house.
