Hampankatta : Two houses damaged when a tree falls on them
Mangaluru, June 10: Heavy rain is wrecking havoc in Dakshina Kannada district with gusty wind. On Sunday morning, two houses were damaged when a big tree fell on the at Hampankatta in the city. This incident happened at Eithappa Shetty compound in Hampankatta.
Because of the gusty wind, the tree fell on those houses damaging the compound and house partially. No casualties were reported.
MLA Vedavyas Kamath visited the area and inspected the situation. Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and removed the tree.

Congress MLC Abdul Jabbar suspended from primary membership of party
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar has passed an order suspending Member of the Legislative Council Abdul Jabbar from the primary membership of the party.
Shivakumar, who is also Deputy Chief Minister, has stated in his order that the MLC is to be suspended with immediate effect.
Jabbar is said to have been suspended for his alleged anti-party activities during the by-election to the Davanagere South Assembly constituency.
