Head of Dharmasthala case SIT Dr. Pronab Mohanty arrives in Belthangady to question three men
Belthangady: Head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed for the Dharmasthala mass burial case, Dr. Pronab Mohanty, arrived at the SIT office in town on Friday.
In addition, Sowjanya movement activist Girish Mattannavar arrived at the SIT office on Friday morning for a questioning, while YouTuber Abhishek is undergoing interrogation the last three days. Jayant T, who visited the SIT office on Thursday evening, was reportedly retained there, overnight.
Dr. Mohanty will interrogate the three people suspected to be related to the Dharmasthala case again on Friday.
While the SIT has continued its investigation of the case, sources have said that major developments in various aspects of the probe are expected on Friday.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
