Udupi, July 21: Esha Vittala Swamiji of Kemaru Mutt and Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi mutt on Saturday met SP Lakshman Nimbargi and urged for impartial investigation into the suspicious death of Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt.
Later speaking to media, the seers said that they have appealed the SP orally about conducting impartial investigation into the death case. There might be a man or woman behind this death and they sought impartial investigation and the SP responded positively. They have also said that if needed, they would give fresh complaint. But the SP said it was not necessary. But the SP said that if the FSL and autopsy report confirmed the poisoning, it would automatically be transferred to other investigating agency and later, the police would take statements, they added.
It was not the time to question the swamiji‘s celibacy and character, because, he was not alive. It was not good for any person to speak ill against a dead person. Now, one thing should be cleared on how the poison added into the food. That should get justice. The investigation should not be misled because of false propaganda. They have urged the SP not to take such false propaganda into consideration while investigating the issue, they said.
They have not made any allegation against the seers of Ashta Mutts and even they did not speak ill about them. They have respect on them. But being the disciple of Pejawar Seer, he would request him not to speak about the lapses. The Pejawar seer who responded when Hindu youth were killed and for burning issues, should demand investigation into the death of the swamiji. Every swamiji should come together to ensure justice to another swamiji. All seers of the Ashta Mutts should join their hands together, Kemaru Swamiji said.
Rajashekarananda Swamiji said that they have met the SP just to clear the suspicion on the death of Shiroor swamiji. The law should take its course. Only police department could trace the accused. The SP responded positively to their demand, he said.
Rs 12 cr loan business
They have also discussed about the torture from a Mumbai-based businessman on loan transaction for Kanaka Mall near Kalsanka. The businessman was supposed to give Rs 10-12 crore to repay the bank loan related to Kanaka Mall, Kemaru Swamiji said.

Panaji (PTI): As part of a crackdown against tourist establishments violating laws and safety norms in the aftermath of the Arpora fire tragedy, Goa authorities on Saturday sealed a renowned club at Vagator and revoked the fire department NOC of another club.
Cafe CO2 Goa, located on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea at Vagator beach in North Goa, was sealed. The move came two days after Goya Club, also in Vagator, was shut down for alleged violations of rules.
Elsewhere, campaigning for local body polls, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal said the fire incident at Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub at Arpora, which claimed 25 lives on December 6, happened because the BJP government in the state was corrupt.
An inspection of Cafe CO2 Goa by a state government-appointed team revealed that the establishment, with a seating capacity of 250, did not possess a no-objection certificate (NOC) of the Fire and Emergency Services Department. The club, which sits atop Ozrant Cliff, also did not have structural stability, the team found.
The Fire and Emergency Services on Saturday also revoked the NOC issued to Diaz Pool Club and Bar at Anjuna as the fire extinguishers installed in the establishment were found to be inadequate, said divisional fire officer Shripad Gawas.
A notice was issued to Nitin Wadhwa, the partner of the club, he said in the order.
Campaigning at Chimbel village near Panaji in support of his party's Zilla Panchayat election candidate, Aam Aadmi Party leader Kejriwal said the nightclub fire at Arpora happened because of the "corruption of the Pramod Sawant-led state government."
"Why this fire incident happened? I read in the newspapers that the nightclub had no occupancy certificate, no building licence, no excise licence, no construction licence or trade licence. The entire club was illegal but still it was going on," he said.
"How could it go on? Couldn't Pramod Sawant or anyone else see it? I was told that hafta (bribe) was being paid," the former Delhi chief minister said.
A person can not work without bribing officials in the coastal state, Kejriwal said, alleging that officers, MLAs and even ministers are accepting bribes.
