Karwar: Three-year-old child accidentally falls into public well while playing, dies
Karwar: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old child died after accidentally falling into a public well while playing on Saturday afternoon, in Haridev Nagar, Karwar.
The deceased child has been identified as Stuti (3) daughter of Sooraj Bunt.
The child reportedly fell while throwing portions of mud into the public well, assuming it to be a Ganapathi Idol, during which the child lost balance and fell into the well, resulting in her death.

Meanwhile the locals have alleged that the public well constructed by the Municipality, which was adjacent to the road had well curbs (Outer wall of the well) built notably at lower heights, resulting in this incident.
A case has been registered at the local police station in connection with the incident.
