Kasaragod: Car falls on house after losing control, One dies
Kasaragod, September 6: One person died when the car he was driving fell on a house after losing his control over the vehicle at Eriempu near Kuttikol in the district on Thursday.
The deceased is identified as ET Gopikrishnan (60) of Eriempu. While going to Bovikkana from his home, he lost control over the vehicle at Beetiyadka cross and fell on the house. He died in the accident. Another woman Sajeena who was in the car sustained injuries.
Though the locals and Aduru police rushed Gopikrishnan to a hospital, he died on the way to the hospital. It is suspected that the accident might have occurred as Gopikrishnan suffered a heart attack while driving. He was a farmer and known as a diver. After postmortem at the Kasaragod General Hospital, the body was handed over to his family members.

Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag votes in Assam polls
Guwahati (PTI): IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals’ captain Riyan Parag on Thursday cast his vote in his hometown Guwahati in the Assam Assembly elections.
The cricketer is here for the team’s matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium, which is the ‘second home ground’ for the Royals.
Riyan was accompanied by his parents, former first-class cricketer Parag Das and ex-national record holder swimmer Mithoo Barooah.
They cast their votes at the Lal Singh Academy polling station in Kharghuli area of the city, under New Guwahati constituency.
Riyan later shared a photograph with his parents with their inked fingers on Facebook
