Kasaragod: Bekal Police have arrested two men who are identified as workers on the Bekal beach in the district and are accused of pelting stones on Tuesday at the Mangaluru-Chennai Express.

The arrested men, Sundar (49) of Mavvar in Kasaragod district and Roshan Roy (19) of Murshidabad, allegedly pelted stones at the train near Bekal on Tuesday afternoon.

While no fatality was reported in the incident, the police officers who probed the matter took Sundar and Roshan into custody. On being questioned by the police, the duo is learned to have confessed to have pelted stones at the express.
