Uppinangadi, June 10: As several electric poles were damaged and fell on Uppinangady-Puttur road after a tree fell on them due to heavy rain and wind, the traffic movement on the road was disrupted for some time at Kodimbadi on Sunday morning.

Later, the MESCOM authorities visited the spot and removed the electric poles.

As the electric poles were damaged, the power supply in the area was disrupted. Because of the heavy rains coupled with gusty wind for the last few days, the region incurred heavy loss of properties due to land sliding and uprooting of trees.
