Mangaluru: 27-year-old delivery boy killed in tragic road accident at Bajpe
Mangaluru: A 27-year-old man died in a tragic road accident that took place in the city on Thursday evening here at Bajpe. The incident took place near Karambaru Mosque here.
The deceased person has been identified as Sandesh (27), a resident of Kadri in the city.
According to the reports, Sandesh was coming to Mangaluru from Bajpe when his two-wheeler collided with an oncoming car and fell on the road. He then came under a goods truck that was coming behind him, further injuring him.
Locals added Sandesh died on the spot after being severely injured in the accident. He was reportedly working as a delivery boy in a private company.
A case in this regard has been registered at the local police station.

Unidentified men set fire to TVK campaign office near Srirangam
Tiruchirapalli (PTI): A campaign office of the actor Vijay-led TVK was allegedly torched by unidentified miscreants in Kamanayakkanpalayam village near Srirangam in the early hours of Friday, police said.
According to the police, the damage is minimal. Fire had engulfed the thatched roof providing shade at the entrance of the building that served as the party’s election office for the Srirangam constituency.
While on social media, a CCTV footage of two unidentified men fleeing on motorbike is being circulated as the culprits, police said the video footage is yet to be verified.
Based on a complaint lodged by TVK, the Pettaivaithalai Police have registered a case and initiated a search for the perpetrators.
