Mangaluru: Bhatkali Jamaatul Muslimeen Mangaluru, on Sunday organised a half-day career counseling workshop for the students of Bhatkal studying in and around Mangaluru at the BJM Hostel here in the city.

The workshop was organised on the topic 'New age career programs' 'The path to success'.

Ameen-e-Mudassar, founder and CEO CIGMA (Career Information and Guidance Movement for All) and renowned career counsellor was the resource person for the event.

Ameen-e-Mudassar is an engineering graduate from PESIT Bangalore who worked with mPhasis India in 2004. In 2005 he co-founded Trans IT Mpower Labs Ltd. a training and software development company having client in India and abroad.

In 2007, with an vision to reach students and parents for career counseling he Ameen-e-Mudassar founded CIGMA.

Abdur Rahman Musba, Anjuman PU College Principal Yusuf Kola, HOD MBA AITM Bhatkal Zahid Hussain Kharuri, Vice Principal Anjuman Degree College Bhatkal Hibban, and others were present as the guests of honour at the event.

BJM President Arshad Mohtesham, General Secretary Imtiyaz Damda, Aftab Kola and other office bearers of BJM were also present during the event.

Srinagar (PTI): Property worth Rs 1 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler was on Saturday attached in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, police said.

A double-storey house on eight marlas of land situated at Wantpora Eidgah, belonging to Basit Bilal Dar, a notorious drug peddler, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore, a police spokesperson said.

He said Dar is involved in two cases registered under various sections of the NDPS Act.

During investigation, it was established that the accused had acquired the said property through illicit proceeds generated from drug trafficking activities, the spokesperson said.

Consequently, the property was attached under the provisions of the NDPS Act. The attachment proceedings were conducted in the presence of the two independent witnesses, strictly in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures, he said.

As per the attachment order, the owner has been restrained from selling, leasing, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the property till further orders, the spokesperson added.
