Mangaluru: A female police constable demonstrated commendable promptness by transporting a seriously injured individual to the hospital on her scooter following a road accident in the city this morning.
The incident occurred around 3:40 AM near KPT, involving a pickup vehicle and a container truck. The cleaner sustained severe injuries and was found lying in a pool of blood. Upon receiving the information, Woman Constable Manshida Banu from Kadri Police Station rushed to the scene and took the injured man to a private hospital on her scooter.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal shared this information on the official 'X' account of the commissionerate, praising Constable Manshida Banu for her timely action.

Bantwal: A 15-year-old boy died after coming into contact with an electric wire in Gadiara village on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shaheer, son of Sharif, a resident of Neralakatte.
Shaheer, an SSLC student at Mountain View English Medium School, Puttur, had gone to his grandfather’s house in nearby Gadiara village during the school holidays. He came into contact with an electric wire and died at the scene.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, two sisters, and family members.
