Mangaluru: Another branch of leading supermarket chain of the city “Apple Mart” was on Thursday inaugurated on Valencia Church road near Kankanady at Lands Trades Insignia Apartments. Run by AK Group of Companies, this is the fourth branch of the supermarket in the city.

Rev. Father Joswin Praveen D’Souza, Asst. Parish Priest – Valencia Church inaugurated the new branch of Apple Mart. He was present at the event as the chief guest.

Speaking after inaugurating the new branch, Rev. Father Joswin Praveen D’Souza added that quality customer service has been one of the significant attributes of AK Group of Companies who are in the business for over 35 years now. He also added that the company should maintain providing quality customer service to continue earning trust of the customers.

Dr. Roshan Shetty A, Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist, City Hospital Research and Diagnostic Center – Mangalore inaugurated the vegetable section of the newly inaugurated supermarket.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Shetty added that he has had close connection with the AK family and lauded their growth in the businesses they stepped into. He also wished the new store to be a successful venture for the company.

B Abdul Aziz Hasan, Chairman, H H Red Bricks – Mangaluru and Managing Director, New India Construction who was also present at the event as chief guest inaugurated the new product of AK Group “Clenzoff”.

Clenzoff, which is available in three different flavors can be used to hygienically clean wash basins, toilet and bathrooms. It will be made available in the market from Thursday.

M Ahmed, President AK Group of Companies presided over the ceremony. Group’s other directors, partners and others were present during the inaugural event.

Mumbai (PTI): Ryan Rickelton's whirlwind unbeaten ton was overshadowed by Heinrich Klaasen's unbeaten 65 as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by six wickets in an IPL match here on Wednesday.

Chasing an imposing 244-run target, Travis Head (76 off 30) and Abhishek Sharma (45 off 24) shared 129 runs for the opening wicket to set the platform for SRH.

Klaasen (65 not out off 30 balls) then displayed his all-round hitting abilities to guide SRH home with the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy (21) and Salil Arora (30 not out off 10) in 18.4 overs.

Earlier, Rickelton's knock powered MI to 243 for five.

MI rode on a 93-run stand between Rickelton (123 not out off 55 balls) and Will Jacks (46 off 22) in 7.1 overs for the opening stand to power the side.

MI skipper Hardik Pandya scored a valuable 31 off 15 balls before being dismissed.

Praful Hinge (2/54), Eshan Malinga (1/29), Sakib Hasan (1/39) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/31) were the wicket-takers for SRH.
