Mangaluru: The Mangaluru police has issued a nationwide lookout notice to locate the accused lawyer in hiding K.S.N Rajesh Bhat, who is accused of sexually harassing a female law student in his chamber earlier last month

The notice has been issued to all the airports, railways stations in the country, the lookout notice will be given to all the police stations in South India. Additionally, the Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar will reportedly be directing the law enforcement to display notices in various public places such as bus stops, hotels, and surrounding areas of various police stations asking the public to notify the nearest police station if the accused in question is sighted anywhere.

Apart from this, the bank accounts belonging to the accused lawyer Rajesh Bhat will also be seized by the police, sources in the police revealed.

Reportedly, the lookout notice has been issued by the police to foil the accused’s prospective plan to flee abroad using his influence and connection. Suspecting that the accused lawyer has been constantly on the move hiding from the police, and frequently changing his SIM card, the police have undertaken the operation to locate him and thus issued the lookout notice to nab him, it is learned.

On October 18, corresponding to a case being registered at the Pandeshwar Women’s police station, the police learned that the accused lawyer Rajesh Bhat had been moving about town while hiding from the police.

Tiruchirapalli (PTI): A campaign office of the actor Vijay-led TVK was allegedly torched by unidentified miscreants in Kamanayakkanpalayam village near Srirangam in the early hours of Friday, police said.

According to the police, the damage is minimal. Fire had engulfed the thatched roof providing shade at the entrance of the building that served as the party’s election office for the Srirangam constituency.

While on social media, a CCTV footage of two unidentified men fleeing on motorbike is being circulated as the culprits, police said the video footage is yet to be verified.

Based on a complaint lodged by TVK, the Pettaivaithalai Police have registered a case and initiated a search for the perpetrators.
