Mangaluru: Pabba's Cream Parlour, a popular ice cream joint in Mangaluru, has achieved a remarkable feat as its signature ice cream, "Gudbud," has been recognized among the world's 100 most iconic ice creams. The prestigious acknowledgment comes from the renowned food and travel guide website 'Taste Atlas,' which recently unveiled its exclusive list of top 100 ice creams globally. Notably, five Indian ice creams, including Gudbud from Mangaluru, have secured a place on this prestigious list.

Gadbud Pabbas, the beloved ice cream from Mangaluru, is renowned for its delightful blend of fruits, nuts, and syrups, making it a unique and cherished treat for ice cream enthusiasts.

Another notable inclusion from Karnataka is the famed "Death by Chocolate" ice cream from Corner House in Bengaluru, marking Karnataka's representation with two distinctive ice creams on the esteemed list.

Mumbai, on the other hand, boasts three ice creams that have earned a place in the global spotlight. These include the delectable "Mango Ice Cream Sandwich" from K. Rustom & Co, the refreshing "Guava Ice" from Apsara Ice Creams, and the delightful "Tender Coconut Ice Cream" from Naturals. Interestingly, it's worth noting that Naturals Tender Coconut, despite being from Mumbai, has roots in Mangaluru.

Hyderabad: A Muslim delivery worker was brutally assaulted in Hyderabad’s Old City on Tuesday night, allegedly after being questioned about his name and religion.

The victim, identified as Muhammad Nadeem, a resident of Talab Katta, was attacked at Moghalpura while delivering a parcel to Sultan Shahi. According to reports, unidentified assailants stopped Nadeem, asked about his identity, and then launched a violent assault.

Nadeem sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Osmania Hospital for treatment. After receiving first aid, he attempted to visit the Moghalpura Police Station to lodge a complaint but reportedly collapsed en route and was readmitted to the hospital.

Amjadullah Khan, spokesperson of the Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), met the injured youth and demanded police action against the attackers.

The Moghalpura Police have registered a case under Sections 117(2) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (BNS) Act. The identities of the attackers are yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
