Mangaluru: Prisoners attack fellow inmate in District jail
Mangaluru: Prisoners at Mangaluru District Jail on Thursday allegedly assaulted fellow inmate inside the jail premises here. The victim has been shifted to Wenlock District Hospital for treatment.
According to the sources, the victim was lodged in District Jail after being found guilty in offences under POCSO act in a case registered at Mangaluru North Police Station.
He was attacked on Thursday morning by other prisoners. In the attack he sustained severe injuries after which the jail authorities immediately shifted him to Wenlock District Hospital for treatment.

Belthangady: The family of late Ramlan Ajhari rebuilt the house of the late Ramlan Ajhari in a program held by Dakshina Kannada District Janiyyatul Muallimin in the premises of Kajur Perdadi Ajmer Khaja Juma Mosque on Thursday. The handover was performed by Khazi Shaikhuna Twakha Ahmed of South Kannada District, Musliyar.
District Janiyyatul Muallimeen President Shansuddin Darimi Pammale Madannur presided over the function. District Janiyatul Muallimeen Secretary Muhammad Navi Mundole welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Engineer Muhammad Twahir Bangerakatte was honored for building a neat house.
