Mangaluru: A group of Sangh Parivar activists allegedly barged into a party organized in Maroli on Sunday, destroyed things and also engaged in a verbal duel with the organizer.
The party, ‘Rang De Barsa’, was held in Maroli for Holi and youngsters were participating in it, splashing one another with colour.
The Sangh Parivar activists, who arrived there on learning of the ‘DJ Party’, pulled down the ‘Holi’ banner and destroyed the stocks of colour kept for use during the celebration.
The ruckus is also said to have led to an argument between the activists and the party host.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain, when asked about the incident, said, “Six activists have been identified from the group that raided the party venue. We have also received information about the banners being torn down. The matter will be further investigated and an FIR will also be filed.”
