Mangaluru: Sangh Parivar member accused of verbally abusing social activist; police complaint filed
Mangaluru: A Sangh Parivar member has been accused having verbally abused a women and child rights activist in the city, with the members of a women's forum complaining to the city police against him.
The Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane has filed a complaint with the Pandeshwar Police against Sangh Parivar member Santhu Bedra, accusing him of having verbally abused women and child rights activist Asuntha D'Souza, recently.
The delegation of the Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane members that complained to the Pandeshwar Police on the matter included District President Jayanthi B Shetty, Secretary Bharathi Bolar, Asuntha D'Souza, Prameela Devadiga, Prameela Shaktinagar, Asha Boloor and Yogitha Ullal.

DHL cargo plane crashes in Lithuania
Vilnius (AP/PTI): A DHL cargo plane crashed Monday morning near the Lithuanian capital.
The Lithuanian airport authority identified the aircraft as a “DHL cargo plane flying from Leipzig, Germany, to Vilnius Airport.”
It posted on the social platform X that city services including a fire truck were on site.
DHL Group, headquartered in Bonn, Germany, did not immediately return a call for comment.
