Mangaluru: A court in Mangaluru has granted anticipatory bail to the chairman and three members of the Infinity Learning Foundation in Guruvayanakere, Belthangady taluk, in connection with a forgery case.
According to The Hindu, the second Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mangaluru, V.N. Jagadeesh, on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to the foundation’s chairman B. Sumanth Kumar Jain, and members B. Sahana Jain, Satish Kumar Jain, and Shubhalatha.
The court directed that the accused be released on bail in the event of arrest upon executing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 each. They have also been instructed to cooperate with the investigation, not tamper with prosecution witnesses, avoid involvement in similar offences, and appear regularly before the jurisdictional court.
In the complaint filed at the Belthangady Police Station on March 6, Deputy Director of Public Instruction (Administration) G.S. Shashidhara said the foundation had submitted the proposal to the department’s portal on June 27, 2025, seeking permission for Excel Techno School in Guruvayanakere to run classes from pre-primary to class 10.
During scrutiny, officials found that the institution had not obtained a valid building fire safety clearance and had allegedly submitted a forged document claiming such approval.
Based on the complaint, Belthangady police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway.
