Mangaluru: Woman cop alleges sexual harassment by ex-serviceman
Mangaluru: An ex-serviceman was handed over to the Ullal Police after he allegedly sexually harassed a lady police officer who was on her way to the station, on Tuesday at Bagampila near Kumpala.
The accused has been identified as Prashanth (45), a native of Kollya Kaniruthotha, who is currently residing at a rented house in Kumapala’s Amrit Nagar.
According to the reports, accused Prashanth allegedly obstructed the lady police officer who was on her way to the station to report to duty on a scooter, and harassed the woman. Upon raising an alarm, nearby locals quickly gathered, apprehended the accused, and handed him over to the Ullal police.
Reports further say that the ex-serviceman Prashanth has been booked under several cases at the Ullal Police station. He had been harassing his neighbors and others in the locality under the influence of alcohol.
