Konaje: Zareena Banu, a daughter of Mandadi's D Yusuf and Sofia, awarded two gold medals in M.Com at the Mangaluru University's convocation programme on Monday.
After bagging the gold medals, Zareena shared the happiness with Varthabharati.
She said, "As I wished to become a lecturer since childhood, I studied very hard to fulfill this dream. I had secured excellent results in degree also. But I did not expect a rank in M.Com. Securing two gold medals with rank has really brought happiness to me. My parents are the main reason behind my success. My father, who was a porter, encouraged me a lot. When I said, my father, that I want to become a lecturer, he supported me in every possible way. But he passed away two years back. If he was available today, he would have been delighted if he had lived today.
