Mangaluru: Dinesh Gundu Rao, the District In-charge Minister, issued a stern warning on Tuesday, stating that individuals engaged in illegal activities under the pretext of moral policing in Dakshina Kannada would face deportation. He made the remarks during his visit to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts alongside Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to reporters at the Mangaluru airport, Minister Rao emphasized that taking the law into one's own hands, resorting to violence, and oppressive behavior would not be tolerated. He specifically referred to such actions as "immoral policing" and asserted that strict legal action would be taken against those involved in such activities.

Expressing concern over the growing influence of communal forces in the district, Minister Rao remarked that their actions were tarnishing the region's reputation. He disclosed that students had approached him, expressing fear in attending college in Mangaluru after admission. In response, he reassured the students not to be afraid.
