Moodbidri: The 2nd PUC exam results for 2026 were released by the Karnataka School Examination and Evaluation Board on Thursday and Disha, student of Alva’s PU College, Moodbidri, has emerged topper in the state in Commerce.
Disha has got 600 marks in the paper, thereby scoring 100 per cent.
Members of the College administration board as well as the lecturers have lauded Disha for her achievement in the examination.

Shivamogga: Three workers were killed after a landslide occurred during road widening work near the Sri Chandikamba Temple at Hulikal Ghat in Hosanagar taluk of the district.
The ghat section also known as Balebare Ghat comes under the state highway 52 and connects Kundapura with Tirthahalli.
The deceased have been identified as Raghu from Chakkaru village near the city, and Shabbir and Raju from Nelagallu village in Haveri district.
According to initial information, a landslide had earlier been reported at a hairpin bend along the Hulikal Ghat stretch.
In response, work was underway to construct a permanent barrier at the site. During the process, a fresh landslide occurred, and mud collapsed onto the workers engaged in the work, killing three on the spot.
It is suspected that several other workers may have been injured in the incident.
Rescue operations are currently underway to trace other workers feared trapped under the debris.
Police and fire brigade personnel have reached to the spot and are continuing efforts at the site.
