Bantwal: Rural police have registered a case against two BJP workers regarding violation of Moral Code of Conduct at Klaleri village of Arala town in Bantwal taluk.

The case is registered against Arala BJP General Secretary Umesh and BJP activist Ravi Arasu based on a complaint filed by EC officials Narayana Shetty and Joy Lobo.

The accused had organized a public function at Klaleri without the permission of EC officials. The officials have learnt that the BJP function was held at Ravi’s home where snacks and tea was also supplied to the attendees after the programme.

Based on visuals, Bantwal rural police have registered a case.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its first list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in February this year.

Former Lok Sabha MP Parvesh Verma will contest from the New Delhi assembly seat against former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal.

Ramesh Bidhuri is set to contest against Delhi CM Atishi and Congress leader Alka Lamba from Kalkaji constituency.

BJP has fielded Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah from Jangpura constituency. He is pitted against former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia. Meanwhile, Congress has fielded former Mayor Farhad Suri from this constituency.

The saffron party has fielded Dushyant Kumar Gautam and Ashish Sood from Karol Bagh and Janakpuri, respectively, and former AAP leader Kailash Gahlot from Bijwasan.

The BJP has dropped its Gandhi Nagar MLA Anil Bajpai and given a ticket to former Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely.

Former Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay will contest from Malviya Nagar.
