“PROJECT EXPO - 2024” held at Bearys Institute of Technology Mangalore
The Department of Mechanical Engineering in coordination with the Institutions Innovation Council hosted a final year students project exhibition “PROJECT EXPO - 2024” on May 27, 2024, at BIT Arena.
Dr. Manjappa Sarathy Director Research and consultancy Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management Mangalore was the chief guest. Dr.Imran Mokashi IIC President and Prof. Manjunath Ichchangi Project coordinator coordinated the event. Dr. Vasantha Kumar, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, extended a warm welcome to the attendees. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Aziz Musthafa , Vice Principal of BIT, while Mr. Hayyan Akhtar from 6th semester Mechanical Engineering Department was the master of ceremony for the event.
After the formal inaugural of “PROJECT EXPO - 2024” chief guest and dignitaries evaluated the projects exhibited in the BIT Arena . Dr. Manjappa Sarathy appreciated the projects.

3 dead, 1 injured as car overturns in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu
Jaipur (PTI): Three men were killed and another injured after a car overturned on Mandrella Road in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu on Sunday, police said.
The accident occurred when a stray animal came in front of the moving car, due to which the driver lost control over the vehicle, they said.
"The vehicle overturned, jumped several metres and fell into a farm. Three men travelling in the car died on the spot, while one was critically injured," the police said.
The deceased were identified as Vijay, Gaurav and Sunil, all residents of Jhunjhunu. The injured, Jitendra, was given primary treatment and later referred to Jaipur in a critical condition.
The police said the victims were returning from a bhajan programme in Sonasar.
