Mangaluru: As Wenlock Hospital has been converted into corona hospital, all the heads of private medical college hospitals have been instructed to treat Wenlock Hospital's Out Patients and In Patients at a government hospital fare or at the charges of Wenlock Hospital, said Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B. Rupesh.

Treatment in Primary Health Centers

Treatment is also been given at Bijai, Yekkur, Kulur, Jeppu, Surathkal, Kulai, Padil, Shaktinagar, Bengre and Bunder Primary Health Centers. Patients with MLC (Medico Legal Case) or Police Case may seek treatment at a private medical college or city primary center.

Free Dialysis

Some private hospitals have already agreed to provide free dialysis services, as requested by the government. Those hospitals are given a list of dialysis patients. As per the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, the government has directed to ensure that patients who come for treatment can get services without a government hospital referral card. Autopsy is being conducted at Wenlock Hospital from 9am to 5pm, the DC said.

Sakleshpur: In a tragic incident reported from the taluk, a 28-year-old man who was on the way to his pre-wedding shoot died as his car rammed into a roadside tree.

The deceased groom, identified as Manu LN, was a resident of Darbarpet in Lakkunda village, Belur taluk, and was to get married on May 10.

Manu was traveling in his car to get his bride for the shoot when he lost control over the car near Moogali of Sakleshpur taluk and the vehicle hit a tree beside the road.

Manu is learned to have died on the spot due to the impact of the collision.
