Kodagu: In a shameful development, RSS workers have allegedly assaulted a group of women who were indulged in the rescue of flood victims of Kodagu.
Bhimaputri Revathi Raj, the founder of the Bhimaputri Brigade, was busy in rescuing the flood victims of Kodagu, along with her team. They had described the situation and difficulties of flood victims through a live video in the Facebook. They have also visited the victims on Sunday and helped them. However, it has been alleged that RSS activists attacked them over hate.
"Rock sliding-like situation was prevailing in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. A person started creating trouble after seeing our vehicle board. Immediately, I went to him and apologised and told him about the purpose we had come to. But he started abusing me. Our people asked them not to abuse girls. RSS workers with khaki shorts kicked to our vehicle's board. They hit the Ambedkar’s name with stone, dragged us down and snatched away our phones. We have come here to help women. Did it mention that a woman cannot do rescue work just because she is a Dalit? “ Revathiraj asked.
