Mangaluru: Minister UT Khader has said that the district administration has been instructed to take appropriate action over scarf controversy that is taking place from past one week at St Agnes College.
He was responding to a query after attending a meeting at the DC's office on Saturday. St. Agnes is an institute which has the good reputation not only in the country but also at international level. There is no need for the Organisations that are not related to the college to interfere in the scarf issue. No need to stigmatise the institution. It should be addressed by the college management, girls, and parents, "Khader said.
“This is a sensitive issue. I directed the district administration to call the concerned people and discuss with them before any dispute. I would intervene if the issue is not solved this way,” Khader said.
The district administration has to decide whether to take legal action against the organizations involved in this matter or not, Minister Khader added.
