Sheikh Adam Saheb Nelyadi of Bantwal to get 'Best Teacher in the State' award
Bantwal: Sheikh Adam Saheb Nelyadi, Headmaster of Kavalapadoor Vagga High School has been selected for the award of Best Teacher in the State for the year 2019.
Adam who has been in the profession of teacher for last 21 years will be honored with the award along with ten other teachers from across the state who have been selected for the award.
Adam who started his career as a teacher in 1998 at AKU Women’s PU College has won several recognitions and awards for his service as a teacher and for the reforms he has brought in local educational curriculum over the years.
He joined Vagga Government High School in 2004 as an English teacher and was later promoted as the Head Master of the school in 2012. He has also been awarded Parisara Mitra award, Yellow school award. From the department of SSLC in the year 2016 and 2019 best achievements awards, Best Headmaster award from Education Ministers office, Best English teacher award among others.
Adam is also credited for transforming the school campus and upgrading it with Toilet facilities, Interlocks, CCTV, Borewell, Solar System etc with the help of local donors.

4 held for sexually assaulting woman, girl on moving bus after social media alert in UP's Agra
Agra (UP) (PTI): Four people were arrested, after a prompt response by police following a social media alert, for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and a girl inside a moving bus here, officials said on Tuesday.
According to an official police statement, at 12:27 am on April 27, information was received on the social media platform X about an incident of sexual assault on a bus travelling from Kanpur to Ahmedabad, which was approaching Namner crossing in Agra.
Acting under the direction of Police Commissioner Deepak Kumar, the Agra Police social media team immediately alerted the Rakabganj police station within minutes and coordinated with the victims to confirm the incident and obtain the exact location, it stated.
Police teams launched intensive checking at Namner crossing and intercepted the bus as it reached the spot. The four accused involved in the incident were apprehended on the spot, and legal action was initiated against them, the statement said.
The police said the swift response and coordination between the social media team and field units ensured timely action, bringing relief to the victims and other passengers, who expressed gratitude towards the police, it added.
