Mangaluru: Team B-Human Mangaluru and Puttur Community Centre, came together to donate six oxygen cylinders to the government hospital through the Puttur MLA’s COVID War Room.
Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandur received the cylinders from Taluk’s Block Education Officer S. Lokesh and Businessman Haris Parladka. To encourage the MLA’s COVID War Room operations, businessman Haris Parladka said that he’d offer more support whenever the need may arise.
MLA Sanjeev Mantandur, who spoke later said that the Team B-Human and Community Centre had taken an excellent decision in contributing to the COVID War Room.
“’Human’ indicates humanity, ‘Team’ indicates working together. Working together as a team in a humane manner can result in defeating Corona. To effectively resolve COVID, government organizations and people must work together as teams. Already now, Team B-Human along with the Community Centre has contributed six oxygen cylinders worth 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees to the government hospital. In this manner, we should all come together and cooperate to tackle COVID. Necessary actions are being already undertaken through the War Room. We are monitoring every patient and every region, the team put together is working hard day and night. Here, it is very important that we have citizens’ cooperation” MLA Sanjeev Matandur said.
“Amid the adversity faced by the state with regards to COVID, MLA Sanjeev Matandur has been effectively running the COVID War Room in Puttur Taluk, through his able leadership. In Puttur Taluk which has taken various Towns and villages into its fold, the MLA has been working with his team since the past year to ensure precautionary measures are in place, and that has proved to be helpful in the current scenario”, Haneef Puttur, the chief of the Community Centre said.
“The team inside the COVID War Room is fully prepared to conduct rapid operations to ensure that emergency services are provided to the patients and distressed parties in any part of the Taluk. Various departments/centres to provide Information centre, Hospital facility, Ambulance, Ventilator, Vaccination, I.C.U, procurement of medicines, Ayushman Bharath, Funeral rites, and Emergency Services with assigned Team Leaders have already been created, in this regard. Along with the promotion of phone numbers of each department, promotions have also been undertaken to create awareness among people to know the roles and functions of individual departments. After the opening of the Government Hospital, now COVID centres have also been opened for the treatment of patients. The cooperation of various private hospitals and schools has already been taken for this purpose. Our MLA is available anytime during the 24 hours of the day. To support and encourage such an effort put forth by the MLA, Team B-Human and Puttur’s Community Centre have contributed these oxygen cylinders. In case of future requirements, we are ready to provide more such support”, Haneef Puttur informed.
Puttur Government Hospital’s Medical Officer Asha Jyoti, City Council President Jeevander Jin, City Council Vice-President Vidya Gauri, PUDA President Bami Ashok Shenoy, Taluk Panchayat Standing Committee President Saja Radhakrishna Alva, Puttur Government Hospital’s Health Care Committee member Rafeeq Darbe, Team B-Human Puttur Taluk President Imthiyaz Perle, Community Centre’s Muhammed Taufeeq, Muzammil Choice and other were present during the occasion.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation will operate 1000 additional special services in view of the Christmas festival.
In addition to the existing schedule, the special services will run on 19.12.2025, 20.12.2025 and 24.12.2025. Further, special buses will be operated from various places of intra & Interstate places to Bengaluru on 26.12.2025 & 28.12.2025.
Special buses will be exclusively operated from Bengaluru Kempegowda Bus Station to Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Shringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubbali, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places.

Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will be exclusively operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, Madikeri.
The corporation has also announced a discount of 5 per cent on the fare if four or more passengers book tickets under a single reservation. A discount of 10 per cent will be extended on return journey tickets if onward and return tickets are booked simultaneously.
In addition to the above, special buses will be operated from all Taluk/District Bus Stands in the jurisdiction of KSRTC based on the traffic needs.
