Mangaluru: Team B-Human Mangaluru, which is tirelessly engaged in the distribution of Ramazan kits to poor and needy families in various Taluks in the district, distributed the 3rd phase Ramazan Kits to all the families of Renjaladi Jamaat in Puttur Taluk in collaboration with the District NGO Coordination on Friday.
With this, the Team B-Human has distributed 300 Ramazan kits in the Taluk so far. The distribution of the kits took place among some economically backward jamaats in the taluk, after ensuring that they did not receive Ramazan kits from others.
The distribution was inaugurated with the dua of Renjaladi Juma Masjid Chairman Hussain Darimi.
Speaking at the occasion, Founder of the Hidaya Foundation HK Kasim Ahmed said that the community needed to be empowered. "Every Jamat's role is vital in this task. In this regard, every organization must join hands with the Jamaat Committee and carry out development works with a specific objective. If all work together through coordination, we will be able to move forward in the fields of education, health, and economy," he said.

Vijayanagara: One man was killed and 12 others were injured after a truck hit vehicle they were traveling in on the National Highway 50 stretch on the outskirts of Koodligi in the district.
The accident victim, Madhu (27), is learned to have been an employee of Reliance Digital from Andhra Pradesh.
The vehicle was reportedly traveling from Bengaluru to Koodligi and the passengers are learned to have been seriously injured following the collision with the truck, which was found to have a Maharashtra registration.
Koodligi Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Mallesh Dodmani and Circle Inspector Prahlad Channagiri arrived at the accident spot on being informed of the accident.
The police officers and locals rescued the injured passengers and got them shifted to the Koodligi Government Hospital. Some of the passengers were reportedly taken to the Ballari Trauma Care Centre for further treatment.
A case has been registered at the Koodligi Police Station and the officers are investigating the incident.
