Udupi: Tragic fire in Ambalapadi claims life of bar owner; Wife hospitalized
Udupi: In a tragic incident this morning in Ambalapadi's Gandhinagar, a fire broke out at the home of Ramananda Shetty, a local bar owner. Tragically, Ramananda Shetty lost his life in the fire, while his wife Ashwini Shetty sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

The fire, suspected to have originated from an electrical short circuit while the family was asleep, resulted in significant property damage, including the destruction of an inverter. The Udupi fire service immediately reached the scene, rescuing four individuals from the engulfed home.
Despite efforts to save him, Ramananda Shetty succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the hospital.

Trump says suspect was armed with multiple weapons at WH correspondents' dinner
Washington (PTI): President Donald Trump is addressing reporters at the White House after he and other top leaders of the United States were evacuated from an annual dinner of White House correspondents on Saturday night after a shooting incident outside the ballroom.
Trump said the suspect was armed with multiple weapons before stopped by Secret Service. One officer was shot, but he was protected by a bulletproof vest.
“He was shot from very close distance with a very powerful gun, and the vest did the job,” Trump said.
