Mangaluru: The accusation on a woman of killing her husband with the help of her lover on April 19, 2014, has been proved in the additional district and provincial court in the city.

Incident details: A resident of Bhadravati's Siddapur Tanda T. Rudresh (32), who was a forester in Kalanje in Belthangady taluk, was the first accused in the murder case. He is said to have developed illegal-relationship with Shalemane resident Annayya Gowder's wife Amita alias Devaki (42). Amita alias Devaki is the second accused in the murder case. They both assaulted Annayya with an iron rod on the night of April 19, 2014.

Puttur rural police inspector Suresh Kumar carried the investigation and filed a charge sheet under IPC Section 120 A, IPC Section 302, IPC Section 201, IPC Section 203. All these cases have now been proven in court.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has announced its decision to boycott the inauguration of a museum proposed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, scheduled for November 8,2024.

The SCBA has expressed opposition to converting the judges' library space into a museum, advocating instead for the area to be used as a library and lounge for lawyers.

The association also demands that the Bar be consulted in future decisions impacting their facilities and resources.
