Kalaburagi: A one-and-a-half-year-old child from Aland taluk in Kalaburagi district has died while receiving treatment at a private hospital. The child was admitted due to an illness, but during the medical examination, doctors reportedly found evidence of sexual assault.
The child's parents were shocked by the doctor's findings of mutilation during the examination, which were conducted under the hospital's protocol for medico-legal cases. The parents have expressed disbelief, insisting that the child was at home and that no one could have committed such an act.

A case has been registered at the Narona Police Station, and further investigations are underway.

Mumbai: An assistant commissioner of police was arrested by Worli Police in Central Mumbai under charge of flashing his private parts before a nine-year-old girl.
The arrested officer is reportedly under judicial custody, at present, according to a report by The Times of India.
The incident occurred in a garden on April 23, a police officer has said, adding that they arrested the ACP soon after the complaint was filed. So far, only one party has filed a complaint against the senior officer, the source has informed.
The senior officer has been charged with molestation and under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the police officer said.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
