Bengaluru: Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Arvind Bellad, has issued an apology to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his recent remarks.

During a media conference at the Palace Grounds, Bellad had questioned the Chief Minister's involvement in the Jindal land deal by saying, "Is it Siddaramaiah's father's property?"

The comment was made in response to the alleged offer of land to Jindal at a concessional rate.

Following backlash, Bellad wrote a letter to CM Siddaramaiah expressing regret for his words.
