Bengaluru, September 16: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that as the Ballary MLAs were in regular touch with him, there was no need to speak to them every now and then.
Speaking to reporters at meeting state incharge KC Venugopal at Kumarakrupa Guest House here on Sunday, Dinesh Gundu Rao said that BJP leaders have been luring the Congress MLAs against which, the Congress has complained to IT. All MLAs from the party were united and they would not go anywhere. They have been working in their constituencies. Ballary Congress MLAs were with the party. They have come to the KPCC office. So, there was no need to contact them again and again. It was just a rumour that they were not reachable, he said.
He held discussions with Venugopal on present political developments. But the name of former chief minister Siddaramaiah has been dragging into the issue unnecessarily. He was not doing anything to destabilize the government. Some vested interests have been making false propaganda against him which is not acceptable, he said.
Jarkiholi brothers’ problem was limited to Belagavi district and they do not have any intention of destabilizing the government. The coalition government was stable and there was no threat to it, he said.
Shortly CLP meeting would be convened to discuss by-election to the MLC seats. Suitable candidates would be selected for the places of KS Eshwarappa, V Somanna and Dr G Parameshwar, he said.
Only the Yeddyurappa’s group has been conspiring to destabilize the coalition government. But some leaders in the BJP do not want to topple the government and they were expressing their dissatisfaction against Yeddyurappa. Let them destabilize the coalition government, he challenged.
“BJP has been conspiring to destabilize the coalition government in the state and thus, it has been doing unethical politics. We will disclose this unethical practice shortly. The BJP has been making futile attempt to grab power in the BBMP”.
-Dinesh Gundurao, KPCC president
