BDA asks former Dy.CM Parameshwara to vacate official residence within a week
Bengaluru: Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) on Monday asked former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G Parameshwara to vacate his official quarters in Rajamahal Vilas Extension which was allotted to him when the coalition government was in power.
Parameshwara has been asked by the BDA to vacate the residence within a week. The quarter will now be allotted to Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
“The said residence has been allocated to Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai as his residence office on September 3. So, we request you to handover the said house to the BDA within a week along with the paid receipt of the water and electricity bills.” a notice served to the Congress leader by the BDA reads.

PM unveils development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim
Gangtok (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim while attending the closing ceremony of the state's 50 years of statehood celebrations.
The projects span a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture, the officials said.
These projects are aimed at accelerating holistic and inclusive development in Sikkim.
The PM's visit marks an important milestone in the golden jubilee year of Sikkim's statehood and reflects the government's "continued commitment to the rapid and sustainable development of the Himalayan state", the officials said.
