Arehalli: A dramatic scene unfolded in Hullemakki village of Arehalli, Belur taluk, as two wild elephants, engaged in a half-hour-long fight near the house of a resident named Yunus.
The confrontation between the two wild elephants began around 1 pm on Monday, drawing the attention of the homeowner, who promptly alerted the forest department. Forest officials, along with personnel from the elephant task force, arrived at the scene and successfully intervened, separating the battling elephants and restoring calm to the area.
Videos capturing the intense battle between the wild elephants have since gone viral on social media, highlighting the close encounters between wildlife and human settlements in the region.

Belthangady: The family of late Ramlan Ajhari rebuilt the house of the late Ramlan Ajhari in a program held by Dakshina Kannada District Janiyyatul Muallimin in the premises of Kajur Perdadi Ajmer Khaja Juma Mosque on Thursday. The handover was performed by Khazi Shaikhuna Twakha Ahmed of South Kannada District, Musliyar.
District Janiyyatul Muallimeen President Shansuddin Darimi Pammale Madannur presided over the function. District Janiyatul Muallimeen Secretary Muhammad Navi Mundole welcomed the guests. On this occasion, Engineer Muhammad Twahir Bangerakatte was honored for building a neat house.
