Bengaluru: A 34-year-old Bengaluru-based fitness influencer has lodged a complaint against a man from Haryana, accusing him of stalking and sexually harassing her for nearly a year, police said.
According to NDTV on Tuesday, the complainant, who is originally from Haryana and has been living in Bengaluru for the past 15 years, alleged that the accused, identified as Sudhir Kumar, has been harassing the fitness influencer and nutritionist since March 2025.
The harassment escalated on May 10, when Sudhir allegedly visited the woman's family home in Haryana's Rewari and engaged in unruly behaviour, police said.
Despite being warned against maintaining any contact, Sudhir allegedly sent several abusive and threatening messages to the woman on WhatsApp. In one message, he allegedly threatened to travel to Bengaluru and sexually assault her. Police said the messages were sexually explicit, sent without consent and intended to insult the woman’s modesty.
Between October 24 and December 20, 2025, the man sent several sexually explicit and provocative messages on Instagram. Even after being blocked, he continued to contact her using multiple social media accounts, police said.
According to a First Information Report (FIR), the accused reportedly visited the woman's gym on January 12 and enquired about her.
The Bengaluru Police have registered a case of sexual harassment, stalking and insulting the modesty of a woman against Sudhir Kumar. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is under way.

Chennai: Actor-politician Vijay has reportedly not been invited to take oath as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after failing to demonstrate support from the required number of MLAs, sources in Raj Bhavan said.
According to media reports that quoted sources in the office of R.N. Ravi Arlekar, Vijay could not prove the backing of 118 legislators, the majority mark in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly.
Despite last-minute efforts to secure support from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazagam (AMMK), and an IUML legislator, Vijay reportedly managed support from only 116 MLAs, falling short by two members.
Sources said Vijay failed to submit letters of support from the VCK and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
Later, the IUML issued a statement clarifying that it was not part of the TVK-led alliance.
Meanwhile, AMMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran is also said to have informed the Governor that his party would support the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) instead.
Earlier in the evening, Vijay had met Governor Arlekar and staked claim to form the government, stating that he enjoyed the support of 118 MLAs.
